I needed to wait 5 weeks for it to fix itself. 4 Roger 'Oldroar' Rall, a fan who died before the game was released. 3 Mike Ferguson, a former ArenaNet employee. #GUILD WARS 2 IP ADDRESS FOR PINGPLOTTER SERIES#1 Devona, an NPC and later henchman from the Guild Wars series 2 Kevin Ehmry, a former ArenaNet employee. I contacted my ISP and let them know but their first level support didn't have a clue. Each world is named after a location in the world of Tyria with a few exceptions, named after the following people. I had this problem a while ago with lag spikes of 2k every two or so seconds which made the game unplayable, my network was fine so was the first few hops but then I was routed above some crappy server and then I had a 80% package loss rate. For this you need to contact your ISP, tell them on which Hop you got problems and if they are interested then at least they will contact the hoster of this specific hop. I had this problem too at some point and also contacted the costumer support but this is out of their hands unfortunately because they can't influence where your packages are travelling (that doesn't mean you shouldn't contact them, maybe they find something else that could influence it with your client). If you do have packet loss on a specific hop on your route then there is the problem. Use PingPlotter for this to see where your problem is. That being said the only thing you can do is, as you said in your title, to trace the route your packages travel, see if there are any hops (best described as a device on your route, like a server that manages the connections etc.) who discard your packages. The higher (counted in milliseconds) your ping is the longer the route is or something is influencing, like a bad server that is overloaded and possibly discards, your packages. Installation path doesn't influence your ping!Ī ping is widely known as the time a request needs to travel from your computer to the target computer.
